USA Gymnastics Championships - Acrobatics, trio of Abi Sasha and Nicole
I was not here for long long long time. Many things happen. Mostly good. One of them is related to sport of Gymnastics. My youngest, Sasha, became an acrobatic gymnast, moving there from Trampoline and Tumbling. In Acrobatics, athletes compete in pairs (men's, women's and mixed), in trios (women) and four (men). Sasha has her trio Formed on November 18. This was her first year in Acro. The other two girls in her trio are of the similar size, which makes it much more difficult for them to through her up in the air. Nevertheless, the girls qualified into Junior Elites on March 6, and competed in their first meet on March 13, as Elites. They qualified to Nationals. The number of people who qualified to Nationals as Junior and Senior Elites is 59. Only fifty nine acrobats form the whole country. I am proud my first year Acro-girl was one of them.
The trio: Abigail Disman, Alexandra Gladkova, and Nicole Johnson competed in USA Gymnastics Championships last weekend. This was the hardest working trio! I put together this movie, in honor of their efforts and the efforts of their coaches. Took me 14 hours to create it - using the cuts form the official USA Gymnastics "live feed" and well as movies and still pictures purchased from Team Photo - the vendor who was making videos and photos standing on the floor of the arena.
The movie starts with the standard USA Gymnastics introduction, and then all three routines are stitched together. I hope that all friends and families of the girls and their friends - those who were not with them at the Championships - will have a taste of what the girls were able to accomplish in such a short time of being together as a trio.
